    Illustration, lay-out and typesetting for various magazines, books, brochures and catalogs, often working directly with clients.

    MIT Sloan Management Review, Cambridge, MA:
    Informational graphics for quarterly magazine.

    Ohmite Manufacturing Co., Skokie, IL:
    Design and production of website (www.ohmite.com) for this electronic component manufacturer, including interactive custom-sample order system, online distributor database using mSQL, and new-product e-mail notification, with CGIs in PERL and VirtuFlex. Also produce print version of catalog and assorted other print materials.

    Inc. magazine, Boston:
    Design and production of advertising and marketing areas of website (www.inc.com), creating online versions of print materials as well as online-only content, including HTML-formatting of databases using PERL. Managing the AOL site (using proprietary AOL software and coding). Re-purposing of print magazine from QuarkXpress to HTML and other formats, including database maintenance, consulting with various departments concerning cross-platform file use, and writing a multitude of labor-saving macros in various applications (MSWord, XyWrite, Paradox, AppleScript, etc.). Setting type on Atex (ancient pre-wysiwyg system) and taking part in the conversion to a PC-based system.

    PC/Computing magazine (Ziff-Davis), Cambridge, MA:
    Typesetting production coordinator, organizing the department during a difficult start-up phase -- responsible for reconciling mark-up from art and editorial for distribution to in-house typesetters, outside text-type suppliers, and headline suppliers. Paste-up artist and typesetter.

    Language Learning Innovations, Cambridge, MA:
    Book, web and promotional materials design and production for publisher/educational consultant.

    1986-1988 Technical illustrator, Digital Review, Boston:
    Executed pen-and-ink and Mac illustrations, always under extreme deadline pressure (a biweekly publication). Responsible for production of immense tabular charts converted from Lotus 123 to typesettable format with the aid of my ingenious macros.
